Oh he had taken a few lives back when they were together, but only in the defense of her or himself. Yet the lives he took while part of the tribe, while he was a raider that preyed on places like this...those were indefensible. Still when she used that tone, and even started to smile again, TJ didn't have the heart to tarnish whatever found memories she still possessed. After being handed a radio the man merely listened, nodding as JJ informed him about the different channels.
