Kingsley Shacklebolt, a minister to lead us through hard times or stooge for the uprising? by A. Bumbles

The fall of Voldemort marked a new day for wizarding society, one which we were supposed to be able to continue our lives peacefully. However, that could be coming to an end as we enter a new and fearful era. In the last few months we've seen our Ministry in flames, an orphanage blown up, killing scores inside and leveling half of Hogsmeade village. On the heels of that we've seen two of our most important buildings on Diagon Alley blown up, something not even imaginable during the war.

What has our Minister done? Aside from a few assurances we've seen little from him. While I know that much of the investigation can not be made public for security reasons, I feel that our Minister has not done enough to assure the public that things are being taken care of.

In conclusion, I call amongst my fellow witches and wizards to question the government. Demand answers to why Shacklebolt hasn't been more vocal on bringing these murderers to justice. Let us not forget those who have died since the reign of terror has begun.

This article is dedicated in the memory of Molly Weasley, mother, wife, victim.

The Socialite Eye was on hand for the big kick off to the official London Wizarding Social Season at the Parkinson Manor for the debut of Miss Pansy Arabella Parkinson. Miss Parkinson looked lovely in a strapless winter white dress of Italian Silk with seed pearl trim on the bodice. Being the oldest of this year's girls, after spending last year finishing her education at Hogwarts, Miss Parkinson certainly made a splash.

The Eye noticed she was in the company of two of London's most eligible bachelors, Mr. Draco Malfoy and Mr. Blaise Zabini. Is there love brewing between Miss Parkinson and her former Slytherin classmates? The Eye certainly thinks both boys were rather attentive and that is always a good sign.

Also seen at the ball were ... (cont, page 5)

Kidnapped in Broad Daylight: The Molly Weasley Saga
--A. Bumbles

Photobucket

A bedraggled owl found its way to my desk early this morning, a tattered piece of parchment encasing this photo of Molly Weasley, blindfolded, in it talons. Is she still alive? The picture seems to indicate that this is the case. The question is: for how much longer?

Tragedy has struck Hogsmeade as an explosion rocked the War Orphanage Monday night. Sources inside the ministry say that the explosion, which killed all 28 residents of the Orphanage, was the work of muggle explosive devices.

Many other downtown businesses were also damaged in the fire. Honeydukes Candy Store and Madame Puddifoot's Tea Shoppe were competely destroyed, while Zonko's Joke Shoppe and the Three Broomsticks received major damage.

Hogwarts Castle has been put on lockdown, according to a statement from Headmistress (continued, page 3)
