Padma smiled at him and Terry instantly knew that he hadn’t misheard anything. She really was telling him the he could move in with her for a little while. His lips twisted upward into a smile as he let that idea sink in. He quite liked the idea of living with her; she was one of his best friends after all. Well, best female friends, anyway. They had known each other for a long time and, yeah, Anthony and Michael were great friends, but neither of them were really good for things like a place to stay. Neither of them had even so much as entertained the idea that Terry could stay with one of them. Nobody really had. Until now, anyway. Sure, there was bound to be some awkwardness with the two shy Ravenclaws living under the same roof, but it wasn’t like it wasn’t bearable. And it was definitely worth it. He would finally have his parents off his back and he could spend more time with Padma. Not like they didn’t already spend most of their time together anyway…
Of course, he would still have to find his own place fairly soon; he didn’t want to intrude on Padma’s privacy for too long. He gave a small chuckle at Padma’s “Happy Christmas,” before returning the favour.
“Happy Christmas,” he replied, still smiling. “And thank you, really.” He was being very sincere about it too. She really was amazing. And as far as presents went…
“Well, if you want to do gift now, that’s fine, but I’ll need to pop back home and grab yours.”
