Padma watched Terry snap back into the real world with a gentle smile. Somehow his habit of getting stuck in texts always made her smile, possible it was because she had a similar issue when it came to her own books. Yet she could not stay in a place as dismal to her as the classroom she was forced to be in and that was why she always seemed to insist on studying at her flat. That and being at Terry’s house meant they may be pestered by Dean, his older brother, that had his own idea made up as to why they were spending so much time together. It was enough to make her blush from time to time and turn her head slightly. It was embarrassing for her because she was not comfortable around the Boots. They were a lovely family but they seemed to have a plan made out for everything. Recently a lot of her friend’s complaints circled around him needing to move out. Though for control reasons, she was still glad her family put up the fight.
“Meet you there, then,” she told him.
Padma took hold of her bag tightly and with a loud pop was gone. After the uneasy tugging sensation and the feeling like her ears were to explode, Padma found herself standing in the square reception room near the L shaped couch she often used as her bed. The plain walls were a dull cadet blue and had little decorations about them. She was never home and paying attention long enough to decide what she needed. In her bedroom was a picture of the five girls and one of the DA seventh years not long after their haphazardly organized graduation. On the wall was a large Ravenclaw flag that had her prefect pin attached. Besides the dark wooded furniture there was little else that was appealing to the eye. Most of the space was crowded by book stacks that were tucked into corners and lined the walls of her bedroom. Though she had been there for a few months, there was little time to organize anything. Even the tiny flat was too much for her at times.
A second crack told the witch that Terry had arrived, she turned smiled.
“They’re askew,” she told him, pointing to her temple.
