Isabelle looked down and chewed on the inside of her cheek, nodding slightly as Ellie sorted things out aloud. She looked back up, running her tongue lightly over her lower lip, preparing to respond to the offer of someone to talk to.
Instead of speaking, her breath was cut short by the sudden electricity of Ellie's lips on hers. That was something she'd never felt before.
She pulled back herself, skin going pale with shock while a dozen thoughts fought for dominance inside her head. Should she leave? Should she reciprocate? Should she talk about it?
She stammered for a moment before reaching out to gently grasp Ellie's shoulder and draw her in for a second kiss, this one firmer and longer, exploratory more than anything.
