Percy didn't know who to trust, especially in the Minister's office. It wasn't uncommon for Minister Diggory to pass by Percy's desk. After a while, Percy began to notice that the Minister would shoot him disapproving glances as he passed. People he used to chat with were beginning to shun him without reason. The pressure felt like a weight upon his shoulders, and he kept remembering the offer Oliver made about helping him should he ever decide to quit.
The prospect never felt more enticing.
After work, Percy collected his things and made his way to the cafeteria. He saw Harry sitting at a table, but instead of approaching like a normal person, Percy kept his eyes forward and walked as though he didn't recognize him. As he passed, Percy slipped a prepared note upon the table and kept on going to the cashier to buy a cup of coffee.
The note read,
Come over to my apartment. We'll be safe to talk there.
