The laugh made his jaw clench again and he stared at Roger. Really? It was funny? "There's nothing wrong with Romilda," he snapped in annoyance, and he tried not to splutter at the suggestion she was jealous, not understanding the implication in the slightest. But he was dealing with a Ravenclaw here, Robbie remembered sharply. Their wit was well-known, and here Roger probably thought he'd been very clever indeed.
And, really, actually, it had been, Robbie had to concede. "Well," he started, his anger quickly petering out now that he didn't know what to say. "Yeah, she can be trusted, and," he stopped again, eyes rolling to the ceiling at having to admit this, "Yes, it was the best way of letting me know."
"What happened?" he said then, needing to get to the details that hadn't been in the Ministry report. "She's out now, isn't she?"
