Who: Astoria and Tracey
When: July 7th
Where: Out and about in London
What: Girl time
Rating: PG because ladies don't swear.
Astoria loved her boys. She loved taking care of them and having them dote on her in return. She thrived on it and she made no attempt to keep that fact a secret. As much as she loved them dearly she needed a break from the testosterone before she started burping and scratching herself. Okay, she socialized with (mostly) gentleman but every girl needed a girl friend. With Daphne being a touch and go relationship and Rose practically cut out of her life she was beginning to realize how small that number actually was. Which brought her to Tracey. Yes, Astoria wasn't happy about her marriage but her reasons for that were no fault of Tracey's. And she was certain Isaac would not like their friendship so that didn't hurt matters.
Her mother had sent her whole head and world reeling and she needed a distraction. Needed a distraction before she had her mum locked up or before she screamed until every piece of glass on this godforsaken island was broken. Clearly this called for shopping. Perhaps tea and sandwiches with their crust cut off. She needed to feel dainty and silly like a little girl who believed in fairy tales. The real world was becoming impossibly depressing.
"Tracey, there you are love," she said cheerfully, greeting the older girl with a kiss to each cheek. Her eyes instantly went to Tracey's ring finger. Interesting. "I hope you're well. Think you for joining me. The need to shop struck and I couldn't think of anyone else I'd rather go with."
