Emma looked at all the things, frowning slightly before she offered an answering grin. "Well, most of the time cats just need the litter box, and the food and the rest is all for special occasions. If it's been sleeping in something you're allergic to, just need to keep it inside and it can't do that anymore, yeah? So then you won't have to bathe it often."
She set the gloves and the goggles aside on a handy surface. "Then we ought to take some food with us and go see if it's coming to visit, yeah? Have we got some time to wait before then, d'you think? If it hears us coming out, though, it might well come sniffing about. Cats are smart creatures; they know what doors open to let them in and feed them."
Emma motioned for him to show her where would be best to wait. It occurred to her that this was one of those moments Marcus had been talking about but um, no. She shoved that thought away and focused on the cat instead. Safer topic, yeah? Much safer.
