Bellatrix turns the gold band on her finger. It makes her feel a part of something; she likes that. Her new husband, tall and reasonably good-looking (it's good that his fortune makes up for his shortcomings), pulls her into a loving embrace.

"The city looks lovely in the snow, doesn't it?" he asks.

"It's gray, muddy, and wretched," Bella replies, disagreeable as always.

"Well, you'll like it where we're going," Rodolphus says. "Now that you're my wife, I can introduce you to the finest man I know."

Bella frowns, but only protests a little as her husband leads her through Knockturn Alley. They enter a dusty old shop through the rear door, and find a small group of black-robed figures waiting for them.

One removes his hood. "Rodolphus, good of you to join us," he says in a voice that would be dignified if he didn't hiss the s at the end.

"This is my wife, Bellatrix, as promised," Rodolphus replies with a bow.

The man, young and more handsome than her new husband, takes Bella's hand. "How would you like to be a part of a new Wizarding world?" the man asks. "One more suited to pure-bloods like yourself."

A smile slowly spreads across Bella's face as she imagines the possibilities in this man's voice. "I'd like that very much."
