It was odd, really, how having Teddy had brought Severus closer to him. They'd just, if you can say *just*, been friends at the end of the war, a tentative friendship at best, Remus reflected as he watched Severus playing in the snow with Teddy. The night he'd told Severus that he'd be raising the child on his own was the first time that Severus had kissed him.

Severus adored Teddy from the moment he saw the boy turn his hair ebony to mimic his, and he made sure that Remus knew it. Sometimes Remus joked that the only reason Severus married him was to be a father to Teddy. Severus would merely smirk at his mate and go back to playing with Teddy.
