Draco looked down at the snow globe, and then over to Gilderoy sleeping on the sofa.
When he took Lockhart home from the hospital, it was snowing. He hadn't known what he was doing back then, either. It was just the way those bastards at St. Mungo's were treating him that made him so upset.
The patronizing idiots were treating him like a bloody invalid and…
… And why did it matter to him, anyway?
Draco turned the snow globe upside-down and then righted it again. Lockhart had been living with him for a year now. The dolt had made his advances – God, but he was obvious about that – and what had come of it?
Nothing, really.
It wasn't that Draco hadn't considered it a hundred – no, a thousand times over the past 12 months; but it wasn't something he was willing to entertain within the realm of social acceptability. What would his parents think, for one?
This object – Gilderoy loved it. He always had reasons behind all of the silly, stupid things he did and liked. Peering inside the dome, Draco noticed a city scene, with two people leaving one of the buildings.
He felt his chest tighten. "Of course. Stupid git," he muttered.
Setting the snow globe aside, he leaned down and brushed back some of the man's hair. "God, you're old enough to be my father," he whispered.
"Come on," Draco said in his normal tone, shaking Gilderoy's shoulder.
He straightened up and crossed his arms across his chest. "You've been sleeping out here on the sofa for a year now, you berk. Don't you think it's time you came and slept in the bedroom?"
With a huff and a click of his tongue, Draco strode into his room. A few moments later, Gilderoy had joined him.
