It was on Saturday before Christmas that Harry remembered something very important was missing. He hadn't bought any Christmas Crackers!
Slightly stressed out - Merlin, there still was so much to do! - he Apperated to Diagon Alley (for a moment he had contemplated buying the crackers in an ordinary Muggle supermarket, but he was sure Snape would only look disdainfully at such boring crackers) and threw himself in the next shop. It was crowded, it was loud, there were too many people, but in the end he left the shop victorious.
Harry Potter had saved the day once again.

If Severus had always liked one thing about Christmas it was pulling Christmas. Not because they uttered such a satisfying bang, but because there had always been one to pull. His mother had smuggled them into the house and at Hogwarts there had always been lying one on his plate.
Not that Severus would ever admit liking the crackers (and, yes, there had been the vulture-hat incident in Potter's third year...). But still, the tradition held a special place in his heart.
Would Potter have Christmas Crackers? It would be nice. Maybe Severus should buy some, just to make sure...
