Eithne slid her feet off the bed and put them onto the cold floor, looking down at it as she did. "The way I was acting before Illos I wouldn't have told me either. I've been making it very hard to deal with me." Eithne needed to stop talking, if she kept this up she'd collapse against him and beg for forgiveness over things she didn't need forgiveness for. She needed a drink, so when she stood up finally she crossed the room and picked up the pitcher of water on the bare table which held no chairs. Poured some into a glass and took a drink while listening to him.
"I don't know. I can't just.. kill them. I can't just find out my own answers and kill them for everything they've done this time. There has to be some proof. Some witness to it all who would be willing to talk. Another fighter. Maybe someone who was in it too who isn't doing as well. I think it might be Slaaven. He didn't look so well when we saw him last. It makes me think that Greenwist hasn't been pleased with him, which could work to our advantage...But if he.." Eithne didn't need to say it.
If he had hurt Reg in order to shove him into the ring with her so she'd kill him.. Slaaven couldn't live.
She'd kill him. She'd have to. She couldn't live with someone living who'd caused her so much pain. She couldn't live with the thought that his real murderer lived.
It wasn't fair.
"Anything you want to know. I want to tell you now. So if there are any questions you do have, Eragos. Ask me now. I'm afraid that I won't be as willing after I sleep." She stood there drinking from the glass of water, but watching him. As sad as she'd been since she ran into Montague, but seeing clearer. She had a mission to finish. But she would not leave him in the dark any longer.
