Character name: Pearle Arkwright Age: 20 Profession: Knight Templar. Generally, she works as a researcher/cataloger. She's not very helpful offensively but she's a goddamn repository of little known facts about pretty much anything.
Power, if applicable: Paralyzing toxins. All of her bodily fluids, including her sweat, are infused with an extremely debilitating poison. Contact with her skin generally will only paralyze an adult for an hour or so, depending on their size, but should Pearle spit, cry or bleed on someone, they could completely lose muscle function and, without medical assistance, die. Individuals with healing abilities, the power of total immunity or the same poison as a power are not affected by Pearle's toxins.
&
Cell degeneration and regeneration.
Where do they live?: Victory, Washington, apparently. >:( In a house with other knights.
Personality: Pearle is timid and prone to emotional breakdowns over imagined slights. Sometimes she can be extremely critical, callous and downright hurtful if she's feeling backed into a corner or has reason to be jealous of someone (not that she really needs reasons...). She always kicks herself later for her unkind behavior, but usually neglects to hand out an apology. Not exactly shy but most definitely introverted, she says little while enjoying being in the company of others. She has a nasty habit of inviting herself along when nobody really wants her around. Surprisingly, being unwanted doesn't seem to phase her, while any other insult will send her into a fit. Pearle also has a poor sense of humor and takes herself far too seriously. Still, when her self-importance cracks, she can laugh, honestly and awkwardly. A loyal, if not somewhat boring, friend, she'll spend as much time as she can to help others, usually at her research's expense. And, while she can sometimes give into her altruistic streak, she mostly sticks around because, well, she's too nervous to excuse herself.
Due to her power, Pearle is most definitely a little odd. She's constantly bundled in multiple layers of clothes, constantly changing said clothes because she can't stop sweating through force of will (no matter how hard she tries) and always huddling in on herself. Twitchy and paranoid, Pearle would rather embarrass herself, make everyone think she's a basket case, than even begin to explain why she smacks people with notebooks or her messenger bag when they get too close to her.
With other Templars, however, she's much less shy. When she wakes up, instead of waiting until she's in her right mind, Pearle'll throw a blanket on and march to the kitchen yelling "OUT OF MY WAY!" Fully awake, she isn't quite so rude, but Pearle figures the other Knights can handle themselves. If she isn't required to baby someone, you can be sure she isn't going to out of the goodness of her heart.
