Character name: Bree Parrish Age: 35 Profession: Head of Labs at AM.
Power, if applicable: the power to rock you like an electric eel n/a
Where do they live?: Agent apartment with her hubby.
Personality: An atypically energetic and ambitious woman, Bree will do everything within reason to stay at the top of her game. She works hard and puts 110% into as many of her endeavors as she can without breaking her neck. As she is usually under a lot of stress, she has a tendency of shutting down her emotions in order to avoid a tantrum. If you're in her department and you fail to turn in one report, okay! You get the tense, 'Everybody makes mistakes' smile. Fail to turn in two and she'll probably suspend your access to all things Ad Meliora that doesn't include your specific expertise. Miss a third and she'll stare you dead in the eyes and tell you it's your report or your ass. Bree is totally aware of how a boss must act- when she wants to grab you by your ears and swing you around her desk, she just goes out and buys a bottle of wine and a cake, pops in an action movie and vents to, then has sex with, her husband. So long as she rounds all the bases of distraction, she probably won't ever lose her shit on Ad Meliora premises. This is what she's banking on at least.
The face she shows to the world is usually cheerful, always confident, occasionally jealous and petty. Because she has worked hard to get where she is, Bree also has problems with her ego when it comes to her intelligence and accomplishments. She's a fucking genius, she believes, and the rest of you should believe it, too! In her previous employment, she was either a wunderkind or an invaluable asset. At Ad Meliora, where it seems everyone is some crazy kind of special, Bree still hasn't relinquished her self-importance. And, really, that's partially why she's been promoted to head of Labs. She's sure of herself on top of being capable and she isn't about to take crap from people who question her judgment. Generally, she's good at listening to the people she manages, but once she's handed down an opinion, it's final.
In purely social situations, Bree is boisterous, enthusiastic and always trying to be the life of the party. Now that doesn't necessarily mean she wants to be the center of attention (not that she minds), but you can be sure if there's ever an opportunity for her to propose an outing or a game or a dare, she'll toss it out. Always ready for anything, Bree expects other people to be, too. It's a good thing her husband is so level-headed, really... Without someone to put Bree in check once in a while, she would have overstepped her boundaries at Ad Meliora long ago.
