Appearance: Niamh is an adorable looking young woman. Her huge, round blue eyes will always make her appear younger than she actually is, and her small frame doesn't help that. It's fact that she's tiny, and she'll always be tiny. Her smallness is a bit deceiving though. Even if she looks fragile, she's far from it. Niamh works out and trains in miscellaneous martial arts in her scant free time, so while she looks thin, there is muscle.
She's fair-skinned, and the small spatter of freckles across the bridge of her nose doesn't deter Niamh from having a cute image at all. In fact, even though she's a young woman, the phrase cute as a button pretty much aptly describes her.
When she isn't wearing her usual medical intern clothes, she dresses nicely, prettily, or cutely. She's not the pinnacle of fashion or stylish by any means, but what she wears does suit her. She takes comfort in wearing casual clothes, but they're notably feminine or cute.

Background: Born as Sadhbh Tristis to a single mother in a small Irish town. She was a happy little girl even if she never knew who her father was because she had her mother and older brother Devon, and they loved and cared for each other. As far as she was concerned, that was all that mattered.
She had friends, but Sadhbh was especially close to her brother. She spent as much time with him as she could that could be considered normal before bordering on too dependent, but Devon was a good and caring older brother, and she responded in kind.
Sadhbh's early childhood was sweet and peaceful - her brother was awesome, and so was her mom, and her mother was even promoted at her job. However, at the age of seven, a new person entered her life.
Her mother started dating a man who was only using her for her money (not that she knew that at the time). Sadhbh, along with her brother, had an instinctual dislike of this man. She tried her best to be polite and sweet because it seemed like her mother was happy, and she didn't want to make her mother upset unnecessarily. Once her mother married her gold-digging boyfriend, Sadhbh did her best to keep things peaceful even if she could see that things were not the best between Devon and her new stepfather. Many times, she wanted to speak up about her stepfather, but if Devon wasn't going to, she didn't see that she had the right to - yet. Sadhbh also had hope that maybe this man would get better and that with her mom around, it couldn't get worse.
