writing and post apps at 4am is a bad idea
Player name: Green
Character name: Daffy (Daffyd (Dong-Fu) Chen) Age: 25 Profession: Knight Templar/works the tills at the local 7/11.
Power, if applicable: Daffy's ability on his mother's side is something to do with metaphorical sight; he can see through things- but only things like lies, illusions and metaphors. A lot of it is dependent on his left eye, which is notably bluer than the right. It's the base of his power to see through things and if taken out/closed that ability gets taken out as well. Just make him blink.
Daffy also has the power to manipulate water from his father. This is limited to small rainclouds, the occasional knocking-of-people-about and an ability to use the water running through your body against (or for) you.
Where do they live?: A house in the residential area. With the other Knights and probably their captive.
Personality: Personality-wise, Daffy takes a little more from his parents than he'd like. He flails at things going wrong and gets embarrassed easily, even when he tries to be serious. The jealous type, he hates it when people like others more than him. He's driven off a few potential girlfriends by snapping at their male friends or brothers. He can be pretty snappish in general; he spends a great deal of his time being grumpy because of his lack of social ability. He reaches out to someone, they don't understand, he blames himself and destroys Tokyo in his head. Or he takes out his self-loathing on people who he deems more popular than he is.
He wants to be like his mother, who he feels always had achievable goals in mind, more than his father, who worked a job he hated to please his family. Not that he doesn't like the idea of pleasing his parents (he's such a mama's boy, he loves pleasing his parents) but the idea of pursuing a dream, even if it's one that goes against your family's wishes sounds very nice. It was by following her example that he ended up studying history and he's a pretty devoted student. His favourite things are ancient fighting styles and learning about individuals.
Despite this wanting to be like his mother, his utter respect for his father and his sincere love of both of his parents, Daffy doesn't like being compared to them. They are all separate people; he is not his father, so please stop telling him how much he looks like him...
He's always felt a little like an outcast. Growing up in Hong Kong in the bosom of his father's Chinese family, for a long time his mother was the only non-Asian he saw on a common basis. He's never felt quite like he belonged, either in his English family or his Chinese family. Luckily, his race has never mattered with his parents, who've always loved him blindly and unconditionally, being his safety net and cocoon - still, it's sad when you only feel you fit in with people who you've been able to see are misfits since you were very young. It does mean that now he's without that safety net, he's on the look out for a surrogate and attaches easily to people.
