Appearance: True to the stereotypes, Jorma is a very tall guy, broad shouldered and lanky. As a teenager, he ate anything in the house that wasn't nailed down and, as he reached an adult height of 6'3", he advocates this diet. His facial features match his large frame. On any given person, one feature too big for their face is acceptable. Jorma is unfortunate enough that nearly all his features are too big, though some appear smaller in comparison to his nose and ears. Still, somehow he manages to keep an unconventional appeal, mostly through the charming way he uses his less than charming features. He has a wonderful smile- it's like a visual hug. And he certainly isn't too dignified to pull a funny face to cheer up anyone who's having a bad day.
Style-wise, he likes to look put-together, but not too calculatedly put-together. He keeps his light brown hair disheveled to cut the uptight picture his tailored, designer suits convey. He is eerily good at coordinating every element of his outfit, down to his cuff links and money clip. Jorma's ubiquitous briefcase, instead of being full of work papers, features a razor, shaving cream, aftershave, tweezers, facial toner, Q-tips and cologne, so that even after a late lunch he can return to his desk looking like he's just tripped out of a spa.
But he's not vain, Jorma will insist. Putting forth an immaculate appearance is part of his job.

Background: Born in Turku, Finland, the first and only child of a Danish international business man and a Finnish woman working in her current President's cabinet, Jorma had it very easy growing up. If he wanted a toy, he got it. Vacationing on Italian beaches was old hat by the time he started wearing real underwear. Having exceptionally rich parents while being an only child meant he had very few, if any, issues to deal with as a kid. But, the lack of issues ended up giving him issues. After traveling around with his father until he was 9, being 'home schooled', Jorma was sent to a boys' boarding school outside of Helsinki. Even in a school comprised of boys well-off enough that their parents paid for their education at the age of 9, Jorma was ostracized for his family's wealth. He was never beaten up or called especially harsh words, but he could tell he was either looked down upon for being so rich or for being the idiot who didn't know he was paying for his friends. He knew, but he doubted that his friends would stick around if he stopped pretending otherwise.
Jorma still keeps in touch his school friends. They think of him as a shallow fool, which he is, really, if actions speak louder than private thoughts you'd never ever admit to another human being, not even when really drunk. Jorma's not quite sure why he's kept in contact with them. He does, ashamed thought he may be about it, genuinely enjoy their company... But that's just sad. He thinks there must be other reasons, even if he doesn't know what they are.
For university, Jorma went to Oxford. There he studied Art History. He worked as an intern in a museum upon graduating, then as an art dealer directly following that. He encountered a fair amount of success as an art dealer, but was still unfulfilled. While living in London, Jorma became engaged to a lovely woman, rich herself, very interested in charity work and seemingly impervious to the disdain that brought up in most people. Unfortunately, it seemed that he was just another charity case in a long series and, when she dumped him, he wasn't given much of an explanation as to why. As most his contacts in the city were mutual friends of his ex-fiancee and money was no object, Jorma decided it would be a good idea to make a career transition.
