OK LET'S HOPE I GET THIS RIGHT OTL
player name: cere
character name: Lia Sun
age: 18
profession: ...does college drop-out count
power: matter transmutation
where she lives: AM apartments
personality: Lia is quiet and seen as somewhat of a loner. It's not that she doesn't want to be friends, it's just that she doesn't know how. She has perfected the art of blending in with the wallpaper or disappearing into a crowd. Due to never given the opportunity of settling down in any one place for very long, Lia is good at adapting to new situations. Although not outgoing, she is even-tempered and has a slightly optimistic view on the world.
appearance: She's is rather pretty but over-all unremarkable and easily forgettable. At 5'2'' Lia's at a reasonable height for a female Asian. She also tends to consume words rather than any substantial food. Even though she keeps up with the current trends, Lia prefers the plainer and more basic wardrobe. So yeah, she tends to disappear into the background. And she prefers it that way.
pb: sooyoung from SNSD
background: Born in Hawaii, Lia is the only child of a Japanese military couple. Due to her parents having to relocate often for their jobs, she has moved around more times than she would have cared for, both in and out of the country, and thus has picked up many foreign languages along the way. Because of that she has never formed strong relaionships with people and has difficulty connecting to them. Being the perpetual new kid at school, Lia quickly learned that assimilating into the school of the month and disappearing into the throngs was the best way to avoid bullying. Her only constant is the ever growing collection of books she hoards that have info on everything from bomb-making to roller-coaster physics.
She recently applied and got accepted into John Hopkins' medical school, where she was working on her undergrad when the 'incident' occurred, attracting the attention of an AM headhunter and ultimately causing her to drop out of school. (It involved talks about family honor and parents seeing eventual grandchildren and a LOT of major guilt-tripping. She is still rather bitter about this, because goddamn was it a bitch of a school to get into.) Now she wanders about in the IT, lab, and R&D floors picking up miscellaneous skills while trying to evade basic agent training. Mention basic training to her and she'll absolutely bolt for the nearest exit. (And maybe she is kinda hoping that AM will be where she belongs, but god knows she isn't banking on it.)
Lia developed her powers at a young age in its most basic form of stripping and adding electrons to materials...causing every kind of technology within a certain radius to meet an untimely death. No one really thought much of it besides a freak case of perpetual and intense static electricity until the 'incident' where it developed into all-out transmutation. Then things got really messy. It would be a really a useful power, if she had any control over it. Or if it wasn't so draining. Or if she didn't have the energy and stamina of a koala, um.
(The best way to get Lia to open up is by expressing interest in some sort of scientific phenomena. Then she just word vomits everything she knows at you, which tends to be a lot, and most of it completely useless and unnecessary.)
skills: Lia is your go-to girl if you wanted a problem solver, a book devourer, an observer, a jack of all trades, a translator, a ninja, a walking/talking thesaurus of absolutely useless information, and/or a death sentence to all the technology in the vicinity. When young she was taught how to play the piano, but has since forgotten all about it sans the basics, and so she taps out quick improvs of Arashi when (she thinks) no one's looking. (She sings in the shower too, but that's the kind that makes your ears bleed.)
