Character name: Dr. Danuté Simonis Age: 28 Profession: Lab Technician/Scientist. Specializes in environmental science.
Power, if applicable: NA
Where do they live?: In some random apartment with with Captain/Second Worst Roommate Ever.
Personality: Danuté has one of those personalities that is associated with people who grow up too young and too fast. Especially now in a place where her language skills are not at an ideal skill level, Danuté doesn't do anything to change the perception of her as aloof, snobbish, distant, holier-than-thou, or whatever other assumptions are thrown at people who fail socially and don't try. It's more true than she perhaps wishes it to be, but for the most part her aloofness is from social insecurity and a dislike of trying to do something that she knows she is bad at. Her English abilities definitely fall under that category.
She is very reserved and (very) repressed; it's not entirely sure what the repression is actually repressing outside of her childhood memories of her mother and what happened. She doesn't have any major berserk buttons that set of an anger that burns hot or cold, her only real addiction appears to be her work. It is apparent, however, when someone crosses the line of being a stranger and being a friend. For one, she starts getting a lot louder.
Free time, in her mind, means books, the great outdoors, and being alone. Her grandparents were not entirely against the concept of modern technology, but seemed uncomfortable with much of it. They owned one small television, with a VCR and collection of movies that were blindly bought many years ago when Danuté first came to live with them. Even though her grandfather brought her into Vilnius when he went into the city and she was aware of modern technology, she was not immersed into it until she was about fourteen and she's still not entirely comfortable with it outside of the technology required for her experiments.
Appearance: At best, Danuté could be considered striking. Her hair is a plain, mousy brown and her brown eyes aren't any more interesting. She always looks pressed and professional, with her hair (varying lengths depending on when she remembers to get a haircut) tied back and her clothes neat, orderly, and usually more masculine than feminine. She usually wears dull, neutral colors like beige, brown, black, and gray, with the occasional blue sneaking when when she wasn't looking. Dresses are out of the question; when dressing formally, she will go for formal pant outfits and she is tall enough to never require heels (which make her fall over all the time).
