Character name: Rhea Dancer Age: 23 Profession: General Agent
Power, if applicable: n/a
Where do they live?: AM provided housing, floor 3, room 5, with Simon.
Personality: It's difficult to pin down Rhea's personality. With one person she's straight-faced and sarcastic; with others she's bouncy and eccentric. If asked, she would simply answer that she doesn't have one, which is probably due to her low self-esteem and the extreme emotional disconnect she has when it comes to herself. Rhea defines herself by her friends and her job and without them, probably couldn't even tell you which gender she is. She is that guy's buddy, Ad Meliora's Agent...it's clear that she doesn't think of herself as belonging to herself. As such she tries her best to provide or be what people need, sacrificing short-term happiness for other people. Whether this means giving other people her sandwich at lunch or changing the way she acts completely for one person, well, she decides that on a case by case basis.
A lot of this is due to the fact that she's still, deep down inside, an insecure teenage girl who worries that everyone hates her. So she tries to make people like her by being and doing what she thinks they want, within reason. She keeps this quiet though - not out of any real need to keep it underwraps, she just...doesn't think about mentioning it; for the most part hasn't realised it. Which is probably one of the few reasons she passed her psychological assesment.
Despite all the changes she makes in the way she's viewed from person to person, she does still have several key ingredients which make up her - she's direct, she rarely lies or swears and slang and euphamisms tend to (apparently) go over her head. She's also very, very insecure now she's in "the real world" and out of the control of others. In her opinion, the only thing she's good for is her mind and the rest of her is owned by the government and her mother. She's stupidly responsible and will attempt to take control or at least help if given the chance. Mostly because she forgets she can count on other people and has, in fact, been trained to act on her own. She also tends to approach everything in her life from an academic/scientific perspective. If at first you don't succeed, experiment, experiment, experiment.
This doesn't mean she's not happy. No, she's quite happy as she is, probably because she doesn't think about how badly this might screw her up. She's confident in and of every aspect of her life aside from interpersonal relationships.
There is another side to her though. Yes, she's quirky and happy and tries to make you like her by appearing adorable and harmless. That is Rhea the person. Rhea the spy is a totally different animal. On the job she's calm and efficient, getting things done fast and using logic to deal with any situation. She's stubborn enough to withstand and endure a lot of things because it is what she's been taught to do. She's a sponge for information, whether it's about the next door neighbour's cat or world government. And if she gets a mission from her superiors, she will complete it, no matter what it takes. SIS training has turned her into one tough, determined young thing. No matter how much she does need people to like her, there is a small part of her that now calculates every situation logically, wondering what she stands to gain from it.
