Hey IJers.

My name is Ardena (most people call me Ardi) and I'm 18. I go to college in to train for some career I haven't picked out yet.

These days I'm generally a pretty happy girl.

I'm a nerd of all verieties. I play video games (Legend of Zelda's my favorite) and D&D (when I can find people to play with). I lurk Failblog and Wikipedia articles and pride myself on a knowing a plethora of random facts. I get the word of the day. I actually enjoyed Chemistry class, if you can fathom. :) I like writing research papers. MLA format is my bitch. I can pull a two page essay on the growth of a character in a historic novel out of no where. =P What I'm trying to say is... I liked school and stuff.

I'm also a martial artist, I've been doing Hapkido (a self-defense based art) for a year and half. I love it like breathing. :) I also shoot handguns, competitively. The shooting is a blast by the way, we run and crouch and reload and shoot through ports and at moving targets. I think powder solvent (Hoppe's No.9) smells delicious.

So, yes, I'm kind of uh... unique.

The Barenaked Ladies and Dave Matthews sing and I think, "My sentiments exactly." I also like Disturbed, System of a Down, Hollywood Undead and... a huge list of other bands and artists.

I've been neglecting the world of IJ for quite awhile now (at least as far as OOC goes), meaning I've lost touch with a few friends from the past. I'd love to make some new ones, though, (and possibly even find some old ones if I can) and I'm thinking this community seems the best way to do that. Anyway, my name is Lauren, I just turned twenty-two, and I work as a pharmacy tech. Fun, fun. I sing and play the piano, but sadly I do nothing with that but entertain myself and annoy the pants off of everybody else. I love to write as well, but that's mostly in the form of roleplaying (PSL journal is here if you're interested!) because I am a geek. And because I ramble I'll put all the other mumbo jumbo under a cut so as to spare your eye balls! :)
