hello, i'm katy. i am 20 years old and i live in orlando, FL. i'm an education major and i'm applying to be a substitute teacher right now. i like cheap wine, good books, panera, the beach, taking pictures, painting, and just having fun with my friends. i love music, all kinds of music. but my favorite band is jack's mannequin, and here is my last.fm if you're interested. i'd like some new friends because i want to start updating here more often! i usually just write about my day-to-day or whatever random thought is on my mind at the moment. i get along with just about everyone, so go ahead and add me :)

Been meaning to do this for forever and a day. So. Here we are.

NAME: jazzymegster (although calling me by any variant of this nick is fine by me)

AGE: 27

INTERESTS: Too many to mention, but you can get some kind of idea here on my profile page.

HOBBIES: listening to and playing music (I can play the guitar and keyboard fairly competently, as well as various other misc instruments); making art (including sculpture, photography, drawing and occasionally painting); reading books; writing (both original stuff and fic).

LOOKING FOR: friends who're interested in the same sorts of things as me would be cool. If you're one of those people who expects me to comment on all your journal entries, then don't bother asking me to friend you back - I go through phases where I can't think what to say and thus don't bother commenting. Conversely, I don't except any of you to comment on everything I say or post.

ANYTHING ELSE: I got through phases with my obsessions, so if you friend me because we both like (for example) Final Fantasy or Resident Evil, and I'm not talking about it now doesn't mean I won't be talking about it in a few weeks' time. That said, I'm kind of busy with college work at the moment, so most fandom stuff is on a back burner due to this (although I'll still babble like crazy about music if you prod me).

And a warning, I guess: occasionally there's a tiny bit of TMI on my journal - but I will always warn for it and cut it. What exactly that entails depends entirely on which bit of me is playing up. And I'm depressed, as well, currently in therapy for it, so expect some whinging about that. Oh, and I'm a miserable git most of the time. And I swear a lot.

Anyway, I'll shut up now and get this posted!
