INTERESTS; Music of most kinds, and though I have a particular affinity with folk and folktronica my taste is varied enough. I love Patrick Wolf, Joanna Newsom, Cerys Matthews, The Cure, Ryan Adams, Johnny Cash, Placebo, Joy Division, New Order, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Bob Dylan, Dir en Grey, Miyavi, Bjork, Arcade Fire, Efterklang, Goldfrapp, Genesis, Los Campesinos, Vampire Weekend, Joe Lean and the Jing Jang Jong, Gwen Stefani, No Doubt, Chris Brown, Vaughan Williams, The Ting Tings, My Chemical Romance, and many more. I'm an ex film student and still passionate about the subject, favourite director Neil Jordan (The Crying Game, Breakfast on Pluto, The End of the Affair, and more), favourite films Moulin Rouge, The Crying Game, Breakfast on Pluto, Somersault, The Little Princess, Walk The Line, Trainspotting, Scenes of a Sexual Nature. My favourite actor at current is Joaquin Phoenix. Stephen Fry is my favourite person on earth and I would sell my left kidney for a kind word from him. I research mental illness alot in my spare time, purely out of interest. I am passionately interested in Japan and Japanese culture not restricted to anime and 'cute bishi boys'. Japanophiles of the 'AMAGAWD NO WAI ^_____^' variety annoy me. I also love food and talk about it often, from the exotic and inventive to the run of the mill ordinary. I love all animals and like all sad single women my best friend is my cat. My journal's titles and userinfo are currently an homage to Joanna Newsom's wonderful, inspiring 16 minutes 53 seconds long masterpiece of a story song: 'Only Skin'. I love playing Wii to a dangerous level and will never find an adventure game I loved as much as The Twilight Princess; which is what I said when I finished The Ocarina of Time. For less serious gaming I also love Mario Galaxy, Mario Kart, anything Pokemon and can't wait for Super Smash Bros Brawl to be released here in the UK.
HOBBIES; I'm passionate about writing and will be studying Creative Writing at degree level in September, I dabble in screenwriting and photography and love to cook when the kitchen is surrendered to me, I'm an RPer- that last part is sad, but then who on IJ isn't an RPer?
