What I Like: Anime, manga, Yu Yu Hakusho*, Hunter x Hunter, Togashi, CLAMP, Bleach, Naruto, FMA, yaoi, yuri, het, Japanese, German, Spanish, Monty Python, writing, drawing, doing stand-up, metal, Tool, NIN, A Perfect Circle, Slipknot, Rob Zombie, etc.

What I Don't Like: Most broadcast TV shows besides cartoons and documentaries, Brokeback Mountain, Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, pop music, country *shudder*...and most of all, stupid people.

Hey all. My name's Ria. I'm 23 and fairly new to IJ. 

I'm a Literature major at uni and am desperately hoping they'll let me in to do Honours next year . 

I use my journal here mostly for the purposes of posting fanfiction and other writing. I tend to stick to the Harry Potter fandom, particularly the pairing of Remus Lupin and Sirius Black. Having said that of course, I will write pretty much anything: any pairing or...shall we say, preference.

I love the following things:
Monty Python, Will Ferrell, Neville Longbottom, Radiohead, the beach, Kevin Smith films (except 'Jersey Girl' - eww), Death Cab For Cutie, riot grrrl, Buffy the Vampire Slayer (anything Joss, actually), The Mighty Boosh, cooking, Joe Strummer, 'King Lear' and 'Othello', Disney movies, John Hughes films (especially 'The Breakfast Club' and 'Pretty In Pink'...Ooh! And Ferris, of course!), Emily Dickinson, romanticism, 'Madame Bovary', Bernard Ludwig Black, Brand New, concerts/gigs, Kate Winslet, slashfic, the awesomeness that is Jim Carrey, wrestling, cheesy '80s music (think Wham! and A Flock of Seagulls...they ran, they ran so far away), good '80s music (eg. The Cure, The Smiths, Prince), South Park, Biiirdman, vegan cupcakes, Jake Gyllenhaal, punk, Joni Mitchell, tofu scramble, Bruce Springsteen.

I'm pretty open and friendly, and I love getting to know people via this contraption called the internet ("Ooh, they have the internet on computers now"), so add me. Or not.
