Hey :D I've never written one of these things before, so please excuse me if I come off sounding like an idiot. I'm Ami, a new user. I'm Australian, 18, uni student, and am not a Strikeout refugee; I was just entranced by the awesome number of free icons. (I get a bit pathetic about icons.) Let see, I love fanlistings, and actually staff at TheFanlistings.Org, if anyone's heard of there. I have a domain and collective, but my skills aren't exactly grand. I don't write fic or draw art, but I do so like admiring the work of others, and just discussing fandom in general. ^^; My main interests are:

Anime/Manga: Gundam SEED, Gunslinger Girl, Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu.
Games: Devil May Cry, Final Fantasy, Fire Emblem, Resident Evil, Shadow Hearts, Shin Megami Tensei, Star Ocean.
Movies: 28 Days Later, Pirates of the Caribbean, Shaun of the Dead.
Music: Nami Tamaki, Interpol, System of a Down, The Cure, The Smiths, The Ramones, Nirvana.
TV Shows: Doctor Who, Heroes, House, Supernatural, Torchwood.

Fire Emblem, Gundam SEED and Devil May Cry are my three main fandoms that I can ramble about endlessly if not stopped, but I'm a pretty big fan of all of the above. I think I'm pretty easygoing, even if I say 'awesome' way too much. My journal is friends-locked right now (for all of the two posts it has), but I mainly talk about either fandom or my really boring life. I'd really love to make some new friends, though, if anyone's interested. :D

Feeling : calm

Hello there. I'm new around here. I am a refugee, but not for the same reasons as most people who wandered over here. However, the censorship practices left a bad taste in my mouth, too.

I'm 34 (on Monday the 25th, anyway.) I am currently going through separation and eventual divorce. I have two very sweet little boys. I write as Justine_M in one of the muse asylums (so far), which is where much of my more creative journaling takes place.

Although I can't claim to be happy a huge portion of the time, I do my best to get through my days. I'm hoping to find others who share their worlds through journals, here, as I've lost my sense of peace in the forums (LJ is one, but not the main one) I've had to leave behind because of the stickier details of this impending divorce.

I am from the old school alternative world, and it's still in my blood. When I have a chance, I read, mostly fantasy and sci fi, though I venture into classics and more mundane genres when the mood strikes me.

I'm all about learning how to connect to many people through this forum, so please add me, and I'll likely do the same for you.
