Who: Jean Grey; OT (Logan? Scott?) When: Saturday Morning Where: The lab What: Jean has a nightmare...and the whole lab shakes. Rating: Not high
Jean never fell asleep in the lab...ever.
Red strands fell free from her ponytail, her cheek rested lightly against her arm, green eyes seal closed behind shaking lids, small moans escaping past her lips. It could have been because she was so tired, having not slept for days following the whole Valentine's Day incident and the normal occurrances of injuries that always seemed to be popping up at the mansion. It was all probable, but for the moment the red head was free from any of these thoughts, her mind wandering over time and space to that second where she felt everything and lost someone she could never get back. Why did she always dream of her? What caused her to feel so much pain? It had been years, but she still could not forgive herself...she couldn't let go.
Her fingers brushed the other girl's fingers, holding tight and yet they still faded through like a ghost's touch. Pain washed over her in waves, she could feel the death eating away at her...slowly taking her best friend from her and there was nothing she could do. "I'm sorry..." She fell back, the image disappearing, the smell of blood slipping away and she clung to it because it was the only real thing in her head. Around her, the lab shook, the lights flickered on the ceiling, some bursting and sending glass over the tile floor.
