Who: Rahne, Josh. OT Alex.
When: Sunday morning
Where: Josh & Alex's room
What: The bros awake to find they had a visitor sneak in during the middle of the night.

Rahne Sinclair was enjoying a freedom she hadn't felt in a long while. It was a freedom from her injury, a freedom from her timidness, and a freedom from her self-doubt. She wasn't sure what changed within her or how she found this confidence, but Rahne was delighted with the past few days worth of conversations and activities. Throughout it all though, her mind kept coming back to Josh. Upon the revelation he wasn't gay, she realized how much she owed him. He was being nice to her because she liked him. And after her attack and his recent healing of her, she felt that she owed him. She was so appreciative, and she didn't know how to show her thanks.

These thoughts plagued her mind as she approached another trial: she hadn't assumed wolf form in quite some time, being afraid to shift with her injury. A part of her, having gone without the wolf so long, was afraid. But that timid voice was quieter than it had ever been. And when Rahne shifted into her wolf form Saturday night, she wondered why she had ever been afraid of it. This? Now this was glorious freedom. Her senses were liberated and she felt content. But her heightened senses also made her susceptible to more pheromones, making it impossible for Rahne to remain away from Josh any longer. After spending hours with her mind racing, trying to shake the feeling, she gave in.

In wolf form, she prowled the halls and enjoyed getting to really 'see' and smell the place again. Even from her different perspective at this height, she could find her way to the boys' dorm and Josh's with ease. When she found the door cracked, she used her muzzle to force the door open enough to enter. She was completely oblivious to the fact she was in her wolf form, her movements feeling too natural. However, she found that it was too late even for these party animals. Both boys were passed out, asleep in their beds.

But Rahne wouldn't stand being away from Josh any longer. Alex being present was extra incentive to stay, appreciating them both. So Rahne the Wolf hopped onto Josh's bed, pawed herself a spot, and curled up to sleep with him. There her rather large and heavy wolf form remained, until in the early daylight hours when in her sleep she rolled onto her back and onto one of Josh's legs.

Josh and Alex had been up ridiculously late the night before playing X-Box and plotting revenge for the entire Mr. Fluffykins escapade. They'd finally passed out around 3 or 4 am, not too long before Rahne had snuck in completely unnoticed. Josh had been so tired that he didn't even realize as the wolf hopped into his bed and curled up near his feet.

He awoke a few hours later however to that annoying tingling sensation in his foot and leg, signaling that the limb had fallen asleep. He mumbled aggravatedly and rolled over- into something warm and furry. He sat up groggily, rubbing his eyes. "-the fuck?" he muttered, cracking open an eye. Oh that's why his leg was asleep. There was a wolf in his bed laying on top of it.

THERE WAS A WHAT!?

Josh screamed, wrenching his leg away from the wolf and tumbling out of bed and onto the floor.

If the movement hadn't been enough to wake Rahne, rolling off her back anyway, the scream was. It was so loud for her lupine ears and took the wolf by surprise. Rahne immediately leaped from the bed in a move of self preservation. However, like most wolves, her territorial nature quickly kicked in. She turned and growled, back arched and front low as if preparing to attack if need be. Claws dug into the floor and fangs were born, until Rahne's dilated eyes adjusted to what she was seeing.

It was Josh. And he was scared! Oh, what a start she must have given him! The wolf's demeanor quickly relaxed, Rahne apologetic for having scared him. Of course, her apology of a light whimper wasn't quite as eloquent as the human voice.

Alex was not a happy camper. Sleep was a precious commodity, and if Alexander Summers did not get ten or more hours a night -- or day, considering his nocturnal habits -- someone was going to pay. Die a slow painful death, or something equally ominous. Josh was quickly rising to the top of that list because he was screaming and Alex had only gone to bed a few hours ago. Or was that only thirty minutes? Who knew. Daylight was rarely in the dorm, Alex had made sure of that by one morning tacking a sleeping bag crudely over the one window. But that totally awesome sleeping bag did not block out his roommate. Still freaking out. Over something.

Grumbling, and muttering curse words that only a sailor would idolize, Alex rolled over, and sat straight up on his bed wrapped in a blanket. He was certainly not awake, but he liked to pretended to be. In case if was an emergency. And hell, it better be or Alex was going to need a new tv because Josh would be going head first into in like, two seconds. "What are you screaming about?" He asked, sounding like Oscar the Grouch, missing only a garbage can to complete the look. It was then that Alex saw it. The thing. The thing worth screaming about. And then he screamed.

Like a little sissy girly girl with braided pigtails and poofy pink checkered summer dress.

Alex bolted to standing on his bed, screaming. And screaming. And screaming. He couldn't get himself to shut up. And he was switching between legs, like those chicks did when they saw a mouse or a cockroach or a bug and stood on a chair. Though a wolf was like thirty times worse than a stupid spider. He had good reason. He also thought by being up on the bed the wolf couldn't get him. Yeah, the wolf, couldn't get up on the bed situated only two feet -- if even -- off the ground. Oh yeah, totally safe.

After a few seconds Josh's scream was cut off by a much louder and much more ear-piercing shriek from the now awake Alex. Josh remained frozen on the floor, propping himself up on his elbows and facing the wolf, wearing only a pair of plaid pajama pants. At first the wolf looked like it was going to attack him, its hair was standing on end as it growled viciously. Josh could do little more than stare up at it in shock and pray that whatever damage it planned on doing to him he would be able to heal afterward.

But then the wolf seemed to recognize him and backed off, even emitting a low whine as it looked at him. "Rahne?" Josh said softly, watching the wolf's every move. Of course it had to be her, how else would there be a friggin' wolf in their room!? "Rahne, it's me, Josh," he said calmly, despite the fact that she already seemed to have made that connection. She certainly wasn't out of control like she had been the last time he'd seen her in this form, but why was she in their room? Sleeping on his bed? "Alex! Quit screaming! It's Rahne," he said to his petrified roommate. He couldn't blame him of course, just a few seconds earlier he'd been reacting similarly himself (although Josh's scared was way more masculine than Alex's.)

Rahne's reactive anger growling had subsided, but now her ears were flat back and she was hunched like she was going to pounce again. Except this time it was to make an exit, if anything. Alex's high pitched screaming was deafening, to the point where Rahne shifted into her half-human/lupine form just to lose some of that acute hearing. In the wolf's place now hunched a girl covered in red and brown fur, still with fangs, claws, and a tail.

"Och! So loud! How kin ya live with that?" Rahne's arms wavered by her head, as if Alex would scream again and she'd have to cover her ears. "Lord ha'e mercy!" She stalked, even in this half-human form, over toward Josh. But then she simply sat down near him, against his bed. She was acting like nothing was out of the ordinary. In fact, as if she and Josh had already been hanging out and Alex had interrupted the two of them. Clearly they had been sleeping together until Alex (despite the fact it was Josh who screamed first and Rahne had rolled onto him before that) woke everyone up.
