When Megan started to tear up, Raven had to squelch a small internal joy. She always had a fondness for making people cry. Oh dear, but that wouldn't do for her new occupation. Instead, she drew upon a more maternal instinct to help guide her actions. Heading over to pat the girl on a head kindly with a warm comforting smile. "Oh dear, it's alright! I don't think Doug believes that at all. You're not a stupid girl, Megan. You're a very bright and an optimistic young lady. It surprises me you might think the worse so soon, but I know that sometimes when we start taking more of an interest in the boys in class it can be a little scary and awkward." She gave her a small friendly side-hug, and returned to her seat on the edge of the desk.
"Often when we like other people, it can be a bit overwhelming. We start feeling all sorts of things and get a bit anxious. But don't worry, Doug is a nice young man, and I doubt he believes that of you. Who knows? He may be just as shy and embarassed." Raven smiled, hoping to cheer the teen up.
