Her ankle moved nervously, she was very upset with herself that this wasn't as easy as it could have been should she have been wearing her veils. It only meant her mother's words truly had been more correct than Sooraya had admitted, they really were just a physical protection more than she believed they were for her faith. Jay's words seemed more clear now, and she wanted to smack herself for being as upset as she was and not able to just relax. She swallowed again and nodded a bit to Warren's probably flattering words that seemed to brush right over Sooraya's head at the moment, "That's very kind of you." She offered, though seemed neither here nor their with the comment.
"We have been, though it was probably a while ago. I understand if you do not remember me," she gave a short laugh before adding, "mashAllah" at his compliment of her accent. Her ankle stopped momentarily as she looked to Warren with a bit of sadness tracing her eyes, "I'm very sorry," she almost whispered, obviously interested in his wings more than his charming smile or wit. She'd been hiding, at least as best she could, the black cast that seemed to blend in with her shirt on her right arm, "I am well, I broke my arm the day our abilities seemed to be taken from us." She lifted her arm to show him, though did not offer it to him, just a quick show before lowering her arm again, "I will be quite glad when my abilities are returned, though I believe very deeply in what Jay said...that this is just a test, and I've come to realize that it is true." She smiled sadly and looked to Warren, "I would not have liked myself as a human, but we must love ourselves and not just the gifts Allah gives to us." She looked back down to the table as she finally just left the water bottle there. "Sooraya, by the way, that's my name."
