The only problem Nessa had with Emma's wardrobe was how flashy most of it seemed - and how much a lot of it reminded her of her old job. Especially when Julian mentioned he'd tried on a corset. Though she was staring at Emma, she immediately imagined Julian in a white corset, and it was impossible to keep the smile from quirking across her face. She just shook her head as they bustled into the room. Watching Emma Frost pimp out only down to the ankles was far more amusing than it should have been, but she couldn't laugh at poor Julian. When Julian pointed out how "unfashionable" it would be to wear track outfits around, she quirked her eyebrows. "Are you sure you're Julian and not Emma just trying to mess with me. Unfashionable, Julian? Really?" The question was made in jest - she was sure very few people realized that the two of them were still close after what had happened. She didn't go around telling anyone for fear of damaging Julian's reputation, and figured he kept quiet about it himself.
She could, however, fully understand the fear of becoming whoever's body you were currently in, though. She had started to lose herself to Regan, before, and Julian. It really had been only a matter of time before she was stuck as her roommate for a while, so she kept trying to imagine that was what was happening. She was considerably less used to having to guess about other people, though. It felt a little like karma.
She had to struggle a little with the straps on the unfamiliar shoes, so she spent a bit more time hunched over than she normally would have. "Well, I guess the main thing to keep in mind is taking smaller steps than you're used to, and taking the step differently. It's very light on the heel, and then more on the toe, like walking tiptoe." She stood up. "You'll want to bend your knees. Don't, it looks really silly." She gave a few demonstration steps in the heels. Terry had some good-sized stilettos in there! Nessa had a feeling her father would have had a fit if he saw. Mr. Cassidy seemed a bit straight-laced for a daughter like Terry. "Keep your chin up, looking down just makes you lose your balance easier." She walked around to be in front of Julian, reaching a hand out. "Put them on and let's try together."
