Who: Professor Xavier, Guthrie kids, and Warren When: Wednesday, midday Where: The Professor's Office What: An E-Mail, and some Telepathic Communication. (Start of a plot.)
Charles Xavier hung up the phone in his office with a deep sigh. This was not a fun part of his job. He couldn't believe he was going to have to relay this type of news, especially after what his youngest Guthrie student had been through lately. He had to steel his thoughts, and clear his desk. This conversation was going to take his full attention. After his desk was clear and his resolve strengthened, he sent out a telepathic message to only the Guthrie students.
Paige, Jay, Sam, this is Charles Xavier. Please come to my office immediately. Pack your things, your professors will let you out of class.
He also sent a note to their professors, so the students wouldn't be hassled coming out of class. While waiting patiently for the kids, he turned to his computer and drafted a quick e-mail to Warren.
To: wworthington@xaviers.edu From: xavier@xaviers.edu Subject: Haiti Relief Body: Mr. Worthington,
I have seen your enthusiasm to provide relief in Haiti, and am touched by your care and concern. I would like to offer my personal Jet for your use to bring a collection of students and faculty to assist in the country so torn by recent earthquakes and aftershocks.
Please e-mail me in response to this message, and let me know when you can come and meet with me to make arrangements for your trip.
Thank you, Charles Xavier
After re-reading the e-mail, Charles clicked on the "send" button. And just in time, he heard a knock as soon as the e-mail was off. He called out "Come in," while turning off his monitor.
