Who: Jay and Sam When: Tuesday night Where: Jay's room What: The brothers need a talk next >:O
Jay had gone from depressed to a whirlwind roller coaster of emotions. He had always been a very passionate boy, something his classmates hadn't really seen. He felt everything hard. Usually it wasn't bad - loyalty to the family, love for Paige and Julia and music. But when he lost something, he took it very hard. As had been the case with Julia, as Paige had come to well know. It led him to hate, with just as much passion, the portion of his powers that healed him. But that passion had led him into some light again. It had been just a month since Julia's death - and many suicide attempts later - but he had met someone and hit another bout of love at first sight. It was his second time in love, and he believed that fully. It had left him - well, not completely stable, but steadied his foundation. He didn't know when he would see Sooraya next, but he always kept a look out for her between classes now.
Jay had also been feeling some strong bouts of resentment toward his big brother. He felt betrayed by the oldest Guthrie boy. Jay had been building something for himself, a possible rock career, and then Sam had left. And Jay had to be the man of the house. He'd given up several good gigs, a real chance to make a name for himself. He hadn't given himself a chance to understand Sam's position, and honestly, he didn't want to. He blamed Sam for a lot. He knew somewhere that he shouldn't, but they hadn't really talked since Jay was shipped off to school, and so he had no real desire to try and remedy that. He talked to Paige and that was enough for him.
He had his room to himself at the moment. John liked going out a lot, and tonight was no exception. Probably in the Rec Room or something. He was in the middle of changing, but taking it slow. He was humming to himself, creating the music and trying to think of some new lyrics. His shirt was off, his wings spread fully, and he had a fresh shirt on the bed, but he hadn't gotten to pulling it on just yet. He liked having absoltuely nothing putting pressure on his wings once in a while. He wasn't expecting company - Paige had left just a half hour ago. He was done with homework for the night, and had at least an hour to himself. Or so he thought.
