Hope's eyes widened at the sight before her on the stage. There were so dupes up there doing a very spot on rendition of Hey Ya by Outkast. It was impressive to say the least. Hope turned and smiled at the Jamie sitting with them in the auditorium, "Oh. My. God!" She said before turning her attention back to the stage. It all made perfect sense.
Hope was silently a little jealous that this was all for Laurie instead of her but those feelings subsided as she realized that even being able to share in the experience with the only two people at the school she could consider friends was special enough. She threw her feet up onto the seat in front of her and let the show unfold. The one-man band (if you could even call it that) was doing a bang up job of mimicking the music video to the letter. Jamie had pulled out all the stops for Laurie's birthday. The thought of Jamie perhaps having a crush on Laurie crossed her mind. But it just as quickly dissipated. The feelings of jealousy crept in again, but she didn't really know why. She didn't like Jamie did she? No way, she had just met him.
Hope focused her attention on the stage as the Jamie's did their thing. They were pretty good she had to admit. He...They were a talented bunch....individual? What was the appropriate term for a group of dupe's anyway? Did they count as one person or were they all individuals themselves? Hope made a mental note to ask Jamie about that later. For now she was just going to let herself enjoy Laurie's present.
