Sadly, Tabs was also in the boat of 'avoid it, rather than confront it' from having hung around the guys for most of her time at school. Sure she liked Bobby as a friend. And sure, sometimes when her bro came around(like say, if Bobby showed up on her doorstep looking all sharp and nice) she got butterflies in her tummy and a goofy feeling inside. But Tabitha was also worried about damaging a close relationship any further. And had zero dating experience. How could she bring up something like: 'Hey! Did you mean it in your note in class? Wanna get smoothies together and sip from the same straw?'. So what if the idea of holding hands and (gasp) kissing made her blush and get squirmy... Wasn't it better to just, y'know, let it lie?
Tabs wasn't completely sure anymore. What did she want from Bobby? Did she even really know herself? Not exactly. But the line of thinking had her blushing ever so slightly, sticking her hands in her pockets as she rose from her chair and puttered over by the window. Looking out of it.
"Yeah. It's been really hot lately. Summer is pretty bad for you, huh?" Man. They were talking about the weather? Bobs and Tabs had suddenly morphed into old people.
