Josh kept stalking towards his room while Vanessa yelled back at him. He wasn't concerned about anyone else seeing or hearing them argue, Vanessa was the one who wouldn't let it go after all when he was trying to walk away. So fine, let her make a big scene. Besides, he was confident that most of the other students felt similarly on the topic and there was no doubt in his mind that Vanessa was the one at fault here, not him.
Her words angered him though and his golden hands clenched into tight fists at his sides as they slowly started to darken to black with his rush of emotions. Her comment about controversial pasts felt directed at him and it offended him deeply. He stopped just outside of his and Alex's door and turned to face her again, taking a step towards her as if her daring her to touch him again. "You wanna talk Vanessa? Fine, let's fucking talk. I watched my best friend get shot in the head because of you. And then I had that same gun pressed to my head right until I killed the guy before he could kill me. And then I spent the week in a coma while Bobby and everyone else thought he was going to die for days," he unloaded on her before he reached for the door knob with a trembling hand. He left out the part about how he had been a "zombie" for weeks afterward and that he was still struggling to deal with his power and personality shift.
"So in case you haven't noticed, I don't give a fuck about training with you or your Weapon X bullshit. Why don't you be the new team leader and I'll just stop going, happy?" he said, pulling the door open with every intent of slamming it shut in her face.
