It was obvious that Vanessa had been struggling ever since she had returned to the school but Josh had no sympathy for her in the slightest. He, like several of the students, was still surprised she and Laura had even been allowed to stay in the first place. It was also obvious that team training was only exacerbating the tension between Vanessa and the others. Josh wasn't a cruel person by any means, despite his own controversial past as a Reaver, but he certainly hadn't been friendly to Vanessa since the attack and he made no effort to hide his distrust and anger towards her despite the fact that they were teammates. He also hated the fact that he had been made the leader of X-Force, especially since his power set really wasn't conducive to the challenges they had faced (unless someone broke a leg of course) which really hadn't helped his attitude.
He was just heading back up to his dorm after getting dinner with Rahne when he heard Vanessa call his name from the stairs. "I already healed your leg. We have nothing to talk about it," he replied without looking back at her or missing a step. It was bad enough that they had to train together, why couldn't she just leave him alone?
