Who: Remy and Scott
When: Wednesday Afternoon
Where: Scott's Office (Remy HATES that place so much)
What: Getting some news

Remy didn't always check his e-mail, but with his latest journal entry getting some attention, he kept a better eye on it. He was glad to see he wasn't the only one annoyed over the lack of response to the oil spill, and had been spending some extra time online looking further into it. So he almost immediately got the e-mail from Professor Xavier. A bit confused, since he only got mass e-mails and some detentions from the man. This was just to him, and Remy was already serving a detention from hell. He clicked it open with a little trepidation.

It was short. And not very sweet. Remy let his eyes glance over it. He had to report to Mister Summers? What the hell for? He'd served his detention that day already (and hey, they'd been a little better than they had the past two days). There was no hint why, but it promised it wasn't extra detention. Remy glanced over at his phone and realized it was off, wondering if someone like Scott or Xavier had been trying to get through to him. He sighed a bit, shaking his head and standing up. Might as well face his fate soon as possible, get it all over with. He grabbed his trench coat, which was getting more and more unnecessary, and threw it on before stalking down the familiar path to Scott's office. He sighed and gave a knock.

Scott was already expecting Remy, and a large file sat atop his desk in the classroom. When he heard the knock, he set his coffee down and strode over, opening the door. "Hi Remy," he stepped aside to let him enter and closed the door behind them for privacy. He wasn't in his usual displeased mood, but just as monotone as ever. Scott observed Remy's expression and waited expectantly... but when Remy didn't say anything, Scott smirked. So he really didn't know why he was here? Then again, Scott knew Xavier didn't like being the bearer of bad news. "Please have a seat."

Scott wanted to get this over with. Tear it off like a band-aid. "I've been talking with your other teachers Remy, and had a chance to review your file, and it seems like you let yourself get distracted this year, and everyone feels like you haven't given your best." Scott returned to his desk side, but didn't sit down. "We know the mansion is a home for many, but it is also an learning institution." He reminded him. "I'm afraid in addition to your poor classroom attendance, behavior, and lack of effort in your studies, you will be repeating your senior year." There. That seemed concise.

Scott opened the floor to Remy for any questions, although he didn't think there would be any. He had to have seen this coming.

Remy really, really didn't. He'd taken the seat like asked, fidgeting as Scott had come to find familiar for the Cajun whenever he was asked to sit anywhere. He could do it on his own time, but not when requested, ever. He started to still, though, as Scott went on. And on. And... wait, what? His eyes widened a little and for a few moments, he was actually stone still. Quite the little miracle right there in Scott's office.

Of course, it didn't last for very long. His shocked expression turned into a frown and he stood up quickly, hands clenching into fists. "What? Non! I jumped t'rough de hoops y'all gave me, I played your game. I'm done wid school! Ya can't do dis!" Right? Remy had never, ever thought that they could hold him back, not from getting out of his last year of school!

"I'm sorry, Remy." He didn't sound very sorry, he didn't sound very much of anything. Scott shook his head, this would be a lesson well learned for Remy. He couldn't believe he was actually trying to defend his case, "You barely scraped by. Your marks in every class were abysmal. You rarely did your assignments," Properly, if at all, "and you were never in class to participate. There was nothing to grade you on, and you left the faculty no choice." Reap what you sow, LeBeau. "You showed no effort in your studies this semester."

"I'm sorry," Scott repeated, "But this isn't up for discussion. You didn't fail marginally, you failed unquestionably. Anything further, and you'll have to take it up with Professor Xavier."
