Hank was pleased, Tandy had a nature he certainly related to. One that was open and accepting, with an undercurrent of genuine warmth. "Your resilience young lady is something to be admired. I respect your forward focus. Excellent excellent!" He took a seat on an open desk chair, grimacing a bit as it groaned with his wait. Scooting on its wheels, he moved past Tandy and headed towards the drawers where his supplies were kept, taking out a few bottles and looking them over briefly as he picked up a plastic wrapped needle and an sterilizing alcohol pad. He turned over his shoulder as he spoke to her.
"Yes, I am going to be taking some samples. Not to worry, it won't take long. But this will aide us in processing you into our records and keep a log of your DNA. Its a major help in assessing your mutant abilities, what triggers them, and whether or not there are any negative stimuli that your body might react to. Allergies or such that might prove fatal or at the very least an inconvenience." His body blocked the view of the needle, not intending to hide it...but doing so by coincidence. He was unaware of her little 'problem'. But was about to figure it out rather quickly.
"Would you please take a seat up on the table? We'll be done quicker than you can say 'Bob's your uncle'!" He chuckled merrily.
