Rahne shook her head almost defiantly at Jubilee's fantastical idea. While Rahne was a fairytale girl and would love to have a lavish, proper dress, she simply didn't know how she's be able to pay for it or pull it off. She hated to beg or be given sympathy as much as she hated most attention. When it came to social interactions, she felt like a failure even after all these years. "Tis a great idea, Jubilation, but I nae have anythin' nicer than this or the money to buy somethin' I'll only wear once!" It just seemed such nonsense to spend money on a one-time thing.
When Jubilee said she was going to look in her closet, Rahne was taken aback once more. "N-no, tis alright. No need ta..." Rahne tried to stop the other girl, not wanting to inconvenience her. She couldn't get more than a few words out before Jubilee vanished around the corner on her, hearing the familiar locker room door swing open and to its close once more. Rahne sighed, walking up to a mirror and putting her cardigan on again to consider it. She was stuck in her ways and so resistent to change. Rahne knew she needed to get better, she just didn't know how.
