Who: Angelo and Paige, if this is cool! :) When: Monday evening, before curfew. Where: The garage, then a Target run. What: Angelo is concerned about Paige's wellbeing after getting the scoop from Jono. So here he is, being a good friend.
Putting on his pretty face wasn't just a figure of speech, with the way Angelo looked. When he was going out in public, it was necessary for him to make sure he was covered up as much as he could be. It wasn't as impossible as it used to be for him to go into town like a normal guy -- ever since he'd figured out that he could actually change his skin's pigmentation along with changing its shape, even though it gave him awful migraines to hold the color change for any length of time, he'd worked out a way to do it with minimal risk. He'd just compress his skin tight against his body, cover up as much as possible (long sleeves, a high collar, gloves, sunglasses to hide the way all that concentrating made his eyes squint), and then just change the color of the skin on his face. Sometimes it came out patchy around the neck, but most people weren't paying that close attention. It usually worked as long as he didn't have to hold onto it too long, and it was worth the migraines to be able to go out once in a while.
Tonight, Angelo was definitely on a mission. He'd told Jono he'd talk to Paige, and anyway, he felt sort of protective toward the younger girl and wanted to be sure she was okay. From what Jono'd told him, it didn't seem like she probably was, but he wanted to find out for himself. And if Remy had hurt or scared her in New York, well. He liked the guy and generally wasn't against his flirtatious ways (hey, Angelo himself was something of a flirt, and he wasn't going to get all hypocritical now), but looking out for his mijita came first, and if she wasn't all right, he'd be giving the Cajun a piece of his mind, for sure.
He strolled into the garage, twirling a set of keys for one of the school cars around his finger. As the oldest student on campus and generally a reliable guy, nobody was all that concerned when Angelo wanted to use one of the cars. He leaned against the one he'd chosen, sunglasses in hand, and waited patiently for Paige to show, like she'd said she would.
