Who: Rahne Sinclair, OTA
When: Friday morning
Where: Classroom hallway
What: Rumors are starting to swirl that there's a wolf in the boy's dorm. Pfft. Please.
Rahne Sinclair didn't know who she was. It wasn't Jane Guthrie, and apparently, it wasn't a human girl either. All of her little worries when she woke up without her memory seemed so miniscule now that she had transformed into a wolf. She wasn't quite sure how she could do it, but that too seemed inconsequential. She preferred this form. While the school wasn't built for wolf access, she was quicker and stronger in this form. It was easier to hide in little nooks and under furniture, which was mainly what she was doing. She had spent two days as a wolf and was mostly trying, like any animal, just to survive.
She had ultimately found her way out of the boys dorm when someone pushed the door too hard to walk out, making her escape. Rahne had pawed around the grounds for a few hours, smelling things. It helped her figure out her relative location and the shape of the place. But then, she became hungry. She ventured into the woods in search of food - and found it. But some part of her nagged at herself as the squirrels ran about, and she retreated unsatisfied back toward the school. Then she smelled the food. Someone was cooking something. On her hind legs, she found what looked to be the cafeteria. Her nose and ears betrayed the smell and the chatter more than her line of sight did.
So much like before, Rahne waited for what felt like hours for someone to brazenly swing the door wide open, and then bolt inside. This time, she had been spotted. But it didn't matter. She stalked around the far wall into the cafeteria, waiting for quiet before bounding up and taking what she needed. She'd repeat this process about twice a day, retreating then to elsewhere in campus. It seemed like most students were at the smaller dormitory buildings, so she wanted to stay away from there. This main building had far more to hide, and it was hear she learned more about mutants and the school's purpose through eavesdropping. Even comforted by the fact that she wasn't the only one with memory loss, Rahne continued to hide. After Julian, she was afraid of other people. And she was far happier living her simple life, napping and prowling around. It was better to be intimidating than intimidated.
Rahne usually retreated to the classrooms. The front of the school seemed far more empty, especially late at night. She had found a room that hadn't been shut completely and used her muzzle to get in there Wednesday night. Since then, she had been retreating in the dark room to a far corner, under a table. There she slept and made her den, emerging only when she needed food or a curiousity caught her attention. Such as now, where Rahne heard the unusual noise of someone around this part of the school. She crept to the doorway, smelling someone on the other side.
