"Or total isolationism. We're very good at that. A couple of hundred wizards in the cold of Scotland? We wouldn't need to know about heat sensors. We'd just avoid the world. We already do," he said with a shrug. "I never set foot in Muggle London and I work in Diagon Alley."
He nodded. "And I like it that way. Hogwarts, the manor, Gringotts. I'm perfectly happy to spend my time in old buildings with thick stone walls, covered walkways, and the peristyles. They are all beautiful creations so I don't need to stay under the sun. Merlin, I hated Care, but at least there were trees to use as a shade." He snorted. "Remus, I'm never going to share anything with these people. I couldn't talk to them about Hogwarts and magic and Gringotts, but if that's the theory, then I'd better find a way to stay in a decent world, because otherwise I'll be sent back sooner rather than later."
He made a face. "I hated runes and all that divination part of it. I guess it is an idea, but I want something that all four of us can cast easily, with or without a wand. Then again by the time I find it, we might be gone."
