The Full had been a trial and Remus had felt the affects for two or three days after, though he hadn't allowed himself more than the day after to sit and rest. But, he was mostly back in, if not top form, sustainable form by the time they'd had to evacuate the basecamp. It wasn't the first time in his life that he'd had to leave quickly in the dark of night, or cross unfamiliar terrain on foot. He doubted it would be the last. Still, a four hour hike followed by a day of wandering unknown tunnels where his senses had a chance of being confused by the unnatural pattern of echoes in man-made chambers and the seemingly permanent scent of decay and death that seemed to cling to everything in this world, was tiring even if he was too practiced at soldiering on to let that show.
Keeping an eye on Draco and others around him, ready to reach out a steadying hand when balance became precarious, had given him something else to focus. Sabrina's culinary witchery was a boon as well, allowing him to recover the energy lost to the Full more rapidly. He'd spent some time also assisting the others in feeling more comfortable, conjuring beds and blankets for those who needed it, adding his own spells to those being cast to protect their perimeter, casting some anti-nausea charms he'd learned during his time on the streets to help the soldiers who had been ill after having their first meal in what was likely to have been years.
After checking on James as well, once everyone was mostly settled, Remus sought out Draco to see how his friend was fairing. When he found Draco sitting up in bed seeming to be intent on working out a spell, he simply sat at the end and waited patiently until it appeared Draco was at a pause in his work. Remus knew better than to just interrupt someone working out new spells. Unlike some, he'd learned from experience of being the one working out a new spell and having any of his three friends leap into the area with some plan or joke or other need for attention. "You should probably get some sleep soon." he said quietly when it seemed safe to interrupt. "I suspect we'll be moving out again in the morning. These Los Angeles underground tunnels don't seem very suitable to long-term habitation like the theme park ones. What are you working on?"
