If there are people actively trying to change reality, the bus won't know how we can fix it until something happens." She had given lots of thought to this, and while no one was asking for her opinion, it didn't mean that she wasn't paying attention.
Ariel frowned at Pansy's reaction. She couldn't imagine why she wouldn't be touched. "Are you all right?" Maybe there was some explanation she should know. "It doesn't really matter. We still have our powers. We don't really need magic unless we're fighting, and when we do, it's his job to defend us. If grandfather Neptune wanted us to have other skills, he would have given it to us."
She smiled. "No real reason to do magic, though. The one time he used it was to fight Ursula who was using Dark magic. If she hadn't, he wouldn't have to fight her. Not that your magic isn't impressive. We just don't need it as much under the sea."
