"Family is rarely as simple as we sometimes would like to think. But, I'm glad Andromeda's the one looking after Teddy, then." He knew from his temporary visions that she had been against his marriage to Nymphadora. But, if she was as Draco believed, she wouldn't hold his father against Teddy. She would see that he was raised with what love and family she could provide. Remus didn't really feel like he was Teddy's father. But, he did care what happened to the boy in a way. "I bow to your wisdom in this, at least for today...mostly because my brain is too foggy to properly debate the point," he added with a rough laugh.
"Absolutely horrid friends," he agreed, more drowsily than he was ready to admit. It had been years since he'd felt safe enough to sleep all day after the change. He'd made himself get up as soon as he could move and leave wherever he'd rode out the transformations. Once he was wherever he was calling 'home', he'd sleep for a few hours, then get up and see to the needs of living as best he could. It had taken days some months to feel back at his full strength.
But, Draco's offer sounded very tempting and knowing the other man was there should anything happen meant he didn't have to worry overly much about danger catching him unaware. "Another day sounds brilliant," he agreed. Squeezing Draco's arm weakly, he let go. "I think I might take your advice on the sleep, though, if you don't mind. Just a bit of a kip more."
His eyelids had other ideas, however, as they were already drifting closed and pulling him into slumber almost as soon as Remus had finished speaking.
