Who: Stephen and Theo
When: Jan 10, Afternoon. After this
Where: The living room of their house
What: Theo levels up
Warning: Nope
Since discovering there were practitioners of other magics amongst his fellow passengers, Stephen had always been curious as to whether or not those magical systems could work together and to what degree that would be possible if they did prove to be able to do so. That he and Loki and Theo had managed to transform the tiny elf house into a living space more comfortable for them showed that it could be done. And so, Stephen had pondered another question: could he teach someone from an entirely different reality to use some of the magic from his order? No doubt, such teaching would be frowned upon by Kamar-Taj, but they weren't here and he was. Why not take the opportunity to see, if for no other reason than it might bolster the student's mystical defenses?
Theo was the obvious choice for a trial run. They'd developed an ease around each other which Stephen did not feel with anyone else on the bus. Theo had a curious nature and an academic's mind, two traits Stephen himself possessed. Beyond that, it gave him something to do, since the climate and the associated tasks of the holiday weren't things conducive to his particular skill set.
When the appointed time came, Stephen headed to the living room of the house and cleared the space beneath the balcony of its chairs and tables, sending them to the other side of the room. He looked around, satisfied, raised his arm, and summoned the Mirror Dimension in preparation for the lesson. Better to practice in a space where reality would not be affected than to ruin their hard work.
