Honestly, today had been a rather nice day, Andie thought quietly to herself from her place at the kitchen counter. Ted had gone to work shortly after Dora and her had woken up and the two had then proceeded to eat breakfast and watch telly and return shortly after for lunch followed by a nap. Well, Dora was the one who was napping - Andie herself was helping herself to a cup of tea. Placing her mug lightly down at the table, she eyed the remnants of the ink stain Dora had put there just a week ago. She did love her daughter, so very much, but the kid had a certain knack for trouble it seemed. It was rather funny - especially when Ted was around because if Dora was anything - she was definitely her father's daughter. Something that made Andie quite happy.
Sighing, she glanced over at the clock above the kitchen stove. Oh! Time to get Dora up! Otherwise she wouldn't sleep at all tonight. Rising, she wrapped her sweater lightly around her and slipped her feet into her slippers, making the rounds before heading to her daughter's bedroom.
"Dora" she said softly, hearing a clatter behind the door and figuring the girl was already up, "It's time to--" but her sentence trailed off there as she spotted the pink haired toddler covered from head to toe in a variety of stickers from her 'sticker collection' along with quite a bit of marker.
"Dora!" Andie scolded, trying to hold back a laugh because she was supposed to be the parent here. "What did you do?!" she asked as the girl's brow drew together and she offered her mother a shrug. Oh, she hoped Ted would get home soon so he could see this.
"Here. Now." Andie said, pointing to the bit of floor in front of her and waiting.
