Who: Chris and Lizzie Where: the music room and then elsewhere... What: They need to make up! When: Saturday afternoon Rating/Status: TBD/Incomplete
Chris was out of his element when it came to girls and them having feelings for him. Sure, the young woman he'd met over the summer had liked him well enough, but she hadn't loved him. And he knew he deserved better. He wasn't one to settle and now that he'd thought about what kissing Lizzie meant, he realized he wasn't settling with her either. He'd compared the young woman to her several times and always found faults, but he overlooked them.
It was best that he'd come back to Hogwarts and had Lizzie to bring him up again. He just didn't think that he'd start feeling things for her. They were best mates - had been since first year. And he hated to ruin that with his confusion.
But he wasn't confused any longer and he wanted her to know it. She just wasn't talking to him still - she was, but not like she normally would. He'd torn up the song he'd written her and revised it again. His revision still didn't suit him, so he found himself back in the music room, sitting at the piano with his music spread in front of him. He would play for a while and then he'd make a few changes and try again. He was so engrossed in his work that he didn't hear her come in.
